Ruth Grant RVN Veterinary Nurse

In 2021, I  qualified as a vet nurse from Askham Bryan College,  where I had a once in a lifetime experience of wildlife vet nursing at a reserve in South Africa. A year later, I moved to the North Sea coast-opposite the homeland of my Friesan horse. I also have a Golden Retriever and my daughter’s white cat, who rules the roost.

I joined the team at Priory vets as a part-time nurse, in September, 2022.  Previously I have mainly done a lot of lab based work, in cytogenetics, veterinary surveillance and bee disease diagnostics.

I love being outdoors and giving back to nature.  I also work voluntarily as a wildlife guide with the RSPB on the cliffs at Bempton and as ‘marine medic’ responding to calls helping rescue stranded seals and cetaceans.
